Billie & Charlie Kerfoot
In August of 1977, Charlie and I were married. Charlie came with a registered golden retriever, Sunshine. We showed her at a couple of matches and won a few breeds. We decided we really enjoyed showing, but wanted a smaller dog with a short tail. We looked through the AKC dog book and decided on the English Springer Spaniel. However, we needed to learn more about the sport so acquaintances of ours put us in contact with a local kennel club.
Our first show springer was Ch. Kay'NDee Wynmoor Knight Rider (Kitt). His breeder, Debbie Kirk, took him to the 1985 National where he was Best in Sweeps and also Reserve Winners Dog from the 6-9 puppy dog class. From that moment, we were hooked. Now our lines are based on top kennels such as Telltale, Autumfire, Gilchrist, and Kay'NDee.

Erin Kerfoot, PhD and Ryan McGlothlin, DO
Erin has been showing dogs since she was five years old. She has won Best Junior at the English Springer Spaniel National both in 1990 and again in 1994. In her Juniors career, she won top handler for English Springers four years, was the number 2 ranked junior in the country for 1997 and placed third at the acclaimed Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in 1998.
For over 20 years, Erin has been involved with the breeding, training, conditioning and showing of our home bred springers. In 2009, she graduated from the University of Virginia with a PhD in Neuroscience. In May of 2010, she married Dr. Ryan McGlothlin. Erin continues the family breeding program and is always thankful for her time spent with Robin Novack learning how to groom and condition top winning dogs. Erin and Ryan moved to Marion, VA in 2013 where he is a family medicine physician and she is an assistant professor at Radford University. Together they have introduced pet therapy to Ryan's practice.
